Phyllis Jean Maton

Phyllis Jean Maton, 72, of Tower Hill, died Saturday, March 15, 2008 in Shelby Memorial Hospital. She was born January 26, 1936 in Vienna, Illinois, daughter of Clarence & Margie (Patrick) Hester. She was a member of Tower Hill Free Methodist Church and was retired from Allis Chalmers. She loved her family, grandkids and had a great sense of humor. She was a positive, upbeat person. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, her dogs, the outdoors, and was an avid reader. Phyllis married Joseph Maton in the fall of 1981 in Batavia, IL.
She is survived by her husband: Joseph Maton, Tower Hill, IL; children: Keith Bridges, Aurora, IL; & Maureen Bridges, Normal, IL; Dorene Segobiano & husband Jeff, Normal, IL; step-sons: Tony Maton & wife Julie, Decatur, IL & Kelly Maton & wife Kelli, Plano, IL. They were blessed with 6 grandchildren: Justin and Mallorie Segobiano, Jenna, Tricia, Kelsey and Kylie Maton; 3 sisters:Norma Hodge, Belknap, IL; Virginia Hester, Cypress, IL; & Janice Huckelberry, Cypress, IL; brother: Ray Hester & wife Bettajean, Belknap, IL; & sister-in-law: Lorette Weddle & husband Darrell, Pana, IL. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kathy Sue; & sister, Shelby.

Funeral Information

Cremation rites were accorded. A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, March 21, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in Tower Hill Free Methodist Church with Ron Newman officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
