Betty L. Coleman, 74, of Pana died Saturday, January 2, 2010 in her residence.
She was born January 25, 1935 in Tower Hill, IL, the daughter of Fred & Marie Connolly Murray. A graduate of Tower Hill High School, she lived in the Tower Hill and Pana area most of her life. Betty was a homemaker and a member of the Shelbyville Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses where was very active in her faith. She loved the outdoors, flowers, gardening and enjoyed traveling.
Betty Murray and Lorton J. Coleman were united in marriage on April 20, 1961. She is survived by her son: Tom Coleman & friend Lisa Neal, Pana, IL; daughter: Cheryl Tolen & husband Doug, Tower Hill, IL; six grandchildren: Eric & Colby Coleman; Danielle Winkeljohn; Lance Austin; Caleb Tolen; Jaimie Murray; and by four great grandchildren: Alexis, Kade, Logan, and Gavin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on April 23, 1986; son John Murray on May 25, 2007; brother Fred Murray, Jr.; and by her sister Marilyn Ann Maton.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2010 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with Tony Roettgers officiating. Burial will be in Price Cemetery, Oconee. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home.
