Ruby L. Litz, 85, of rural Panadied Friday, May 9, 2008 in Pana Community Hospital. She was born September 29, 1922 in Rural Shelby County, the daughter of John & Josephine Lovegrove Kaiser.
Ruby had lived in rural Pana all of her life until the last six years when she went to Urbana to be with her daughter. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Pana.
Ruby was a great cook and baker. She loved her family. She liked dogs, cats, birds and animals of all kinds.
She married Chris Litz on July 18, 1944. She is survived by her children: Rosalee Kaiser, Pana, IL; Wanda Gregg & husband Melvin Duane, Cowden, IL; Janice Trosper & special friend Jim, Pana, IL; Christina Morris & husband Ronald, Nokomis, IL; Connie Litz, Effingham, IL; Dennis Litz, Nokomis, IL; Gail Beck & husband Lawrence, Urbana, IL; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1982; nine brothers: Paul Kaiser, James Kaiser, Melvin Kaiser, Earl Kaiser, John Milton Kaiser, Harvey Kaiser, Cloyd Kaiser, Delbert Kaiser & Murel Dwain Kaiser; and by two sisters: Veda Hinton and Hazel Rhodes.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2008 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Neil Kaiser officiating. Burial will be in Oconee Mound Cemetery, Oconee. Friends may call Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
