Eleanor B. Pryce, 90, of Pana, died Monday, April 28, 2008 in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield. She was born August 7, 1917 in Assumption, the daughter of Alexander & Esther Galvin Nicol. She was a graduate of Assumption High School, and lived in Assumption until her marriage in 1936, when she moved to Pana. Eleanor was a homemaker, and she loved to cook & take care of her home and family. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Pana; past member of the Women of the Moose Lodge #1015, Pana; & past member of the Rebekah Lodge.
Eleanor married Louis “Bud” Pryce on April 30, 1936 in Shelbyville, IL.
She is survived by her daughters: Janet White & husband Melvin, Taylorville, IL & Karen Buxton & husband Stephen, Golconda, IL; 7 grandchildren: Dawn Donaho & husband Phil; Melvin White, Jr. & wife Laurie; April Brown & husband Jeff; Jodi McKinney & husband Rob; Lisa Craft & husband Randy; Stephen L. Buxton & wife Amy; & Julie Olson & husband Bob; 21 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 3 brothers: Lawrence Nicol, Pana, IL; Lyle Nicol, Mt. Zion, IL; & Norman Nicol, Assumption, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on March 20, 1974; sister, Elizabeth Daugherty; & brothers: William Nicol, Donald Nicol, Wayne Nicol, & Robert Nicol.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be Friday, May 2, 2008 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. In-Sook Hwang officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Pana. Friends may call Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home.
