Donna J. Huttes, 75, of Camanche, Iowa, formerly of Pana, passed away Monday, December 19, 2011 at The Alverno in Clinton, Iowa after a courageous battle with cancer
Donna was born July 28, 1936 in Pana, the daughter of Harold “Doc” and Ruth Witts Roland.
She was a homemaker and continued to help run her husband’s construction business after his death. Donna was an avid Cubs fan, loved living by the river, was a former square dancer, and enjoyed visiting with family and friends, especially all her good friends at Missy’s Shear Expressions. She enjoyed reading, dancing, and shopping.
Donna was united in marriage to Bob Huttes on March 21, 1954. Bob preceded her in death on August 28, 1987.
Survivors include daughter Tori and son-in-law Richard McDonald of Camanche, Iowa; granddaughters Chloe and Lia McDonald of Camanche; brother Tom and sister-in-law Carla Roland of Nokomis, Illinois; numerous relatives including in-laws, nephews, and nieces, including special niece, Ginger Burnett Johnson of Camden, TN, formerly of Pana.
In addition to her husband, Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her step-mom Evelyn Roland, and infant son.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 23, 2011 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Joe Mollet officiating. Burial will be in Price Cemetery, Oconee, IL. Friends may call Thursday, December 22 from 5 to 8 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home.
