Andrew Saveski

Andrew Saveski, 59, of Pana, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010 in Pana Community Hospital. He was born November 11, 1950 in Newark, NJ, and graduated from Memorial High School in Cedar Grove, NJ. Andrew was a retired Staff Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service. During his time in the military, he worked in the security force. He moved to Pana in July 1994 from Plattsburgh, NY, and worked at Hardee’s as the biscuit maker. Andrew enjoyed whittling, carving, crocheting, and writing poetry.
He married Janet I. Miller on August 7, 1984 in South Dakota.
Andrew is survived by his wife: Janet Patriakea, Pana, IL; children: Randy Patriakeas, Springfield, IL; Phillip Patriakeas, Pana, IL; & Christopher Patriakeas, Pana, IL; brother: Constantine Patriakeas; and father & mother-in-law: Pren & Martha Miller, Pana, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents & grandparents.

Funeral Information

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 6, 2010 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Greg White officiating. Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral home.
Cremation rights were accorded. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
