Kelsey Lorraine Fatheree, 95, of Pana died Wednesday, March 26, 2008 in Pana Community Hospital.
She was born May 17, 1912 in Shelby County, IL, the daughter of Lewis & Emaline Burris Denton. Kelsey lived most of her life in the Cowden-Beecher City area and had lived in Pana for the past five years. She cooked and ran restaurants in the area for many years. She was a member of First United Pentecostal Church, Pana.
Kelsey married Edwin Fatheree, he died in 1950. Her companion of 47 years was Kenneth Piefer of Beecher City, IL who died in 2003.
She is survived by her brother: Rev. Orville C. Denton & wife Geneva, Pana; her sister: Mrs. Howard L. (Myrtle) Sims, Pana; and by several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter Dorothy; four brothers: Floyd Denton, Otis Denton, Joe Denton, Harold Denton; and by her sister Nellie Henderson.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 29, 2008 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 2:00 p,m. with Rev. Robert Russell officiating. Burial will be in Price Cemetery. Oconee. Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home.
