Richard E. Cieslik

Richard E. Cieslik, 72, of Pana, died Wednesday, December 21, 2011 in Decatur Memorial Hospital. He was born March 2, 1939, the son of Stanley Cieslik and Marie Drapala. Richard served in the U.S. Army, and he was a journeyman printer for Deluxe Checks Printing, retiring in July 1999. He and his wife, Stella, relocated to Pana from Chicago after their retirement in 2000. Richard enjoyed old time movies and traveling, and he had traveled all over the world. He was also a member of the Pana Moose Lodge #1015; Pana Eagles Club #4109; and Pana Elks Lodge #1261.
Richard Cieslik and Stella G. Lester were united in marriage on May 18, 1963 in Chicago. She preceded him in death on August 13, 2007.
He is survived by his daughters: Sandy Schuldt, Pana, IL and Merrietta Brady & husband Thomas, Tower Hill, IL; grandchildren: Harry Bonea; Adam Bonea; Richard Bonea & wife Chrissie; Thomas N. Brady; Christopher Brady & wife Samantha; Katrina Ritchie; Angie Parker & husband Josh; & many great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son: Franklin G. Ritchie; brothers: Danny Drapala & Stanley Cieslik; and step father: John Drapala.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Rodney A. Schwartz officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Pana with graveside military rites by Pana Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
