Joyce Cohan Taylor, 69, of Pana, died Thursday, February 18, 2010 in St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford. She was born March 9, 1940 in Pana, the daughter of Edward John and Edna Mae Powers Cohan. Joyce lived in Pana until moving to Texas to take care of her sister, Eula, for 7 years. She then came back to Pana and had been in Wisconsin for the past 3 years. She was a member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle Pentecostal Church.
Joyce married Don Taylor, and they were later divorced.
She is survived by her children: Douglas Cohan, Janesville, WI; Kathy Cohan, Janesville, WI; Carla Taylor-Starks & husband William, Janesville, WI; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and brothers & sisters: Robert Cohan, Pana, IL; James Cohan, Nokomis, IL; Ruby Ross, Pana, IL; & Paul Cohan, Pana, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Edna Mae Taylor; and brothers & sisters: Warren Cohan, Jack Cohan, Gerald Cohan, David Cohan, Eula Gann, Mary Hunter, Catherine Cohan, and Lois Cohan.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be Sunday, February 21, 2010 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ronald Brown officiating. Friends may call on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until service time in the funeral home.
Cremation rights will be accorded.
