Richard E. Osborn

Richard E. Osborn, 63, of Pana, died Thursday, April 24, 2008 in his residence. He was born November 28, 1944 in Decatur, the son of Dwight E. & Lolita Bowersock Osborn. Richard graduated from Pana High School in 1962, and attained an Associates Degree from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. He also served in the Air National Guard in Springfield from 1966-1972. Richard was a farmer, and his life revolved around his family, farming, and square dancing. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Pana, Christian County Farm Bureau, Locust Lodge #623, Owaneco, & Taylorville Twist N’ Twirl Square Dance Club.
Richard and Penny Washburn were united in marriage on December 18, 1966.
He is survived by his wife: Penny Osborn, Pana, IL; children: Brian E. Osborn & wife Gina, Pana, IL & Carrie L. Nuzbach & husband Mike, Fenton, MO; 4 grandchildren: Anna Osborn, Claire Osborn, Grant Nuzbach, & Kate Nuzbach. Richard was preceded in death by his father on August 18, 1988; his mother on May 11, 1989 & one sister in infancy.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 28, 2008 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. In-Sook Hwang & Rev. Diwan Tiwade officiating. Burial will be in Rosemond Grove Cemetery, Rosamond. Friends may call on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home.
