Dennis Lee Cox, 51, of rural Tower Hill died Saturday, April 12, 2008 in St. Mary’s Hospital, Decatur.
He was born December 23, 1956 in Shelbyville, son of Elmer Wesley & Doris Mae Godwin Cox. Dennis was a graduate of Tower Hill High School and lived most of his life in Tower Hill. He was a welder at P&H Manufacturing, Shelbyville for 20 years.
Dennis was a member of Pana Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and antique cars. His pride and joy was his 1970 GTO Judge.
Dennis Lee Cox and Patty S. Davis were united in marriage on March 10, 1984 in the Pana Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife: Patty S. Cox, Tower Hill, IL three sons: Dennis Levi Cox, Nicholas Lee Cox, and Matthew Charles Cox, all of Tower Hill, IL; mother: Doris Mae Cox, Pana, IL; brothers: Elmer Wesley Cox, Jr. & wife Marlene, Tower Hill, IL; John Cox & wife Gail, Pana, IL; Delbert Cox & wife Trish, Assumption, IL; sisters: Sue Berner & husband Larry, Tower Hill, IL; Vickie Watson & husband Mike, Kincaid, IL; Tammy Foster & husband Tim, Tower Hill, IL; and by several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents: Henry & Edna Godwin and John & Josephine Cox.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2008 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with Joe Mollet officiating. Burial will be in Tower Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home.
