Bonnie Worker, 81, of Pana, died Thursday, February 11, 2010 in Pana Community Hospital. She was born August 12, 1928 in Oconee, the daughter of Walter Scott and Hanah Evelyn Pariell Austin. Bonnie lived most of her life in the Pana and Oconee areas. She was a homemaker and a housekeeper for the Tanner family for many years. Bonnie enjoyed going to flea markets and garage sales.
She married Mervin G. Worker on March 6, 1950 in Jerseyville, IL. He preceded her in death on January 20, 1999.
Bonnie is survived by her sons: Larry Worker & wife Annie, Pana; Terry Worker & wife Linda, Pana; Barry Worker, Taylorville; and Billy Worker & wife Karen, Pana; 8 grandchildren: Dean Cutler, Duane Cutler, Curtis Worker, Larry Worker, Brad Worker, Brian Worker, Kalyn Worker, & Cory Worker; 19 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and brothers & sisters: Ronny Austin, Rosamond, IL; Dorothy Seely, Pana, IL; & Roger Austin, Edgewood, IL. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents & sister, Helen Miller.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be Monday, February 15, 2010 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Don Pease officiating. Burial will be in Rosemond Grove Cemetery, Rosamond. Friends may call on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until service time in the funeral home.
