Lorna J. Smith, 67, of Pana, died Monday, January 23, 2012 in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.
She was born February 29, 1944 in Herrick, Illinois, the daughter of Orville & Ethel Boles Burrus, deceased. She had lived in Herrick and East Peoria prior to coming to Pana in May 1982. She was a homemaker.
Lorna and Charles E. Smith were united in marriage on December 3, 1960 in Ramsey, IL.
She is survived by her husband: Charles E. Smith, Pana, IL; children: Charles Smith, Centralia, IL; Kenneth James Smith, Pharr, TX; Richard E. Smith, Pana, IL; David L. Smith & wife Jennifer, Riverdale, GA; Kimberley D. Smith & friend Josh Koons, Pana, IL; 6 grandchildren: Adrienne, Patrick, Chelsie, Brooke, Brenna, Carlie; 3 great grandchildren: Keenan, Kennedy, Hendrix; and by her sister: Judy Davis, Cowden.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother William Burrus and sister Neola Schellenberger.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be Friday, January 27, 2012 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Ronald Brown officiating. Burial will be in Ramsey Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home.
