Vara Gale Allbright

Vara Gale Allbright, 101, of Pana, formerly of Morehouse, MO, died Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Heritage Manor—Pana. She was born December 24, 1906 in Alto Pass, IL, the daughter of Rev. Finis Ervin and Emmer May Harris Jones. Vara was a homemaker, and was a longtime member of the Rauch-Spence Memorial United Methodist Church in Morehouse, MO. Upon moving to Pana, she became a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, now known as the United in Faith Church, Pana.
Vara married Charles B. Allbright. He preceded her in death on May 18, 1982.
Vara is survived by her son: Frank Allbright, Pana, IL; daughters: Gail Sampson, Bonita Springs, FL & Janet Yenne, Wichita, KS; 7 grandchildren; & 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 1 brother; & 6 sisters.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, 205 N. Stoddard, Sikeston, MO 63801, with Rev. Norman Ogles officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Sikeston, MO. Visitation will be on Saturday in Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
