Jim "Romie" Romager

Jim “Romie” Romager, 77, of Pana passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.  He was born October 8, 1939 in Piper, Alabama, the son of Odis and Ruth (Arnold) Romager.  He married Deanna Tolliver on February 2, 1985 in Lake St. Louis, MO and she survives him in Pana. 

Jim’s real estate career included management in Lake St. Louis, MO; the Tom Brinkoetter Company, Decatur, IL; the Galena Territory, Galena, IL; Geneva National, Geneva, WI and Oak Terrace Resort in Pana, IL.  He was a member of the Illinois Association of Realtors.  Though he did not have a church home, he was very dedicated to reading his Bible daily.  He was very proud of his Athletic career with the Pana High School in 1955 when they went undefeated & untied in football. He also played as 3rd baseman for Pana High School and Eastern Illinois University, and was later invited to attend tryouts for the St. Louis Cardinals.

Jimmie is also survived by his children: Rick (Chris) Romager of Springfield, IL; Stacey Lee Romager of Springfield, IL; Lisa (Mike) Coffman of Decatur, IL; J.R. Mowry of Sesser, IL; grandchildren: Jordan Romager, Logan Romager, Raegan Romager, Aubry Romager, Troy (Holly) Coffman, and Alex (Mariah) Coffman; a sister, Nancy (Adrian) Frodge of Mechanicsburg, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Dave Altman officiating.  Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery in Pana.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
