Gretchen Marie Siegert Thompson, 57, of Macon formerly of Pana died Thursday, December 29, 2011 in her home.
She was born October 27, 1954 in Pana, the daughter of Richard & Jean Finefrock Siegert. A graduate of Pana High School Class of l972, Gretchen has lived in Macon since 1986. She worked in delivery and sales for Del’s Popcorn Express and also worked for Glenn View Tree Farm in Argenta. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, animals and loved her grandchildren.
Gretchen Marie Siegert and Richard “Rick” Thompson were united in marriage on January 27, 1995 in Macon, IL.
She is survived by her husband: Richard “Rick” Thompson, Macon, IL; children: Nathan Bricker & wife Jessica, Girard, IL; Erin Gaines & husband Jay, Raeford, NC; Timothy Bricker, Macon, IL; 3 grandchildren: Lilly & Kevin Bricker and Ava Gaines; brothers: Gus Siegert & wife Patti, and Eric Siegert & wife Sheila, both of Pana, IL; and by her sister: Mary Ade & husband Rick, Pana, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Frieda Siegert and a sister in infancy.

Funeral Information

Cremation rites will be accorded and private graveside services will be held.
