Raymond "Ray" Klingberg

March 27, 1941 - December 14, 2009

Raymond “Ray” Klingberg, 68, of Pana, died Monday, December 14, 2009 in his home. He was born March 27, 1941 in Chicago, the son of Raymond & Dorothy Betzel Klingberg. Ray retired as a lineman from a chemical company in the Chicago area, and moved from Chicago to Pana in 1981. He loved hunting, fishing, being outdoors, and listening to music. Ray’s first marriage was to Diane, and he later married Vivian Kraus in Tower Hill in 1990.
He is survived by his wife: Vivian Klingberg, Pana, IL; children: Debra Brown, Berwyn, IL; Kathy Tomasevich & husband Daryle, Plainfield, IL; & Raymond Klingberg & wife Patty, Braceville, IL; 7 grandchildren; step children: Donnie Kraus, Pana, IL; Brenda Scott & husband Bruce, Pawnee, IL; Tammy Riddle & husband Jerry, Pana, IL; Rick Kraus & wife Bev, Findlay IL; 15 step grandchildren; & many step great grandchildren; and brothers & sisters: Kenneth Klingberg & wife Bonnie, Itasca, IL; Margaret Noto, Montgomergy, IL; Lois Klingberg, Glen Ellyn, IL; and Elizabeth Alsip & husband Steve, Lombard, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Information

A service of remembrance will be held Friday, December 18, 2009 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Ronald Brown officiating. Private inurnment will be held at a later date. Friends may call on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until service time in the funeral home.
