Ralph L. Chamberlain

Ralph L. Chamberlain, 91, of Oconee died Thursday, January 19, 2012 in his home.
He was born October 8, 1920 in Herrick, IL, the son of Byrl Ross & Mabel Buchanan Chamberlain. He graduated from Herrick High School and attended University of Illinois. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Oconee; Holy Name Society; Shelby County Farm Bureau; and past member of Oconee Lions Club. Ralph enjoyed farming, his family, studying and picking lottery numbers, and following his children and grandchildren in their sports.
He married Audrey Temmen on September 3, 1955 in Sacred Heart Church, Oconee.
Ralph is survived by his wife: Audrey Chamberlain, Oconee; children: Linda Kessmann & husband Steve, Highland, IL; Brad Chamberlain & wife Patty, Litchfield, IL; Dennis Chamberlain & wife Teresa, Pana, IL; Brenda Larson & husband Eric, Springfield, IL; Ron Chamberlain & wife Mary Beth, Cheshire, CT; Sandy Huss & husband Greg, Oconee, IL; Matt Chamberlain & wife Jill, Mt. Auburn, IL; 22 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 4 sisters: Maxine Isenberg, Lemon Grove, CA; Barbara Fenton, San Diego, CA; June Kirkpatrick, Valparaiso, IN; and Joan Finken, Missouri Valley, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Doug Chamberlain on November 10, 1989; brother Wesley Chamberlain; and by his sister Joyce Chamberlain.

Funeral Information

Funeral mass will be Monday, January 23, 2012 in Sacred Heart Church, Oconee at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Rodney A. Schwartz officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Oconee, IL. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home.
