Janetta Eileen Calvert, 79, of Pana, died Monday, September 11, 2017 at Heritage Health in Pana. She was born June 8, 1938, in Beecher City, daughter of the late Elmer & Virgie (Miller) Little.
Janetta Little and John Woolard of Pana were married in 1954 and followed his Air Force career to several countries and states. He preceded her in death on September 7, 1970. Janetta married Harold 'Bob' Calvert of Pana in 1972 and they enjoyed 45 years of marriage together and traveled throughout the U.S. together. Janetta worked for many years with the Christian County Senior Citizens as a van driver and then was very active with Bob in their retirement years with the Pana Senior Citizens Center. Janetta was a life-long member of churches of Christ including the church in Pana. Included in her list of lifelong friends are people she met during military postings and retirement travels where a church involvement or visit was always part of the program.
She is survived by her husband, Harold 'Bob' Calvert of Pana; daughter: Donna (John) Hau of Monee, IL; sons: Rusty (Glenda) Woolard, Taylorville, IL and Paul (Heidi) Woolard, Forsyth, IL; 6 grandchildren: Jodie Walwer, Annie Rea, Stephanie Bell, Heather Woolard, Blake Woolard and Kayla Craig and 12 great-grandchildren, who were here absolute pride and joy; sister, Rosie Durbin and niece, Violet Kay, Beecher City, IL. She was preceded by her parents and first husband, John Woolard.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Linwood Cemetery, Pana at 3:30 p.m. with Earl Baker officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pana Senior Citizens Center or the Pana American Legion.
