Jeanne Ellen Budds

Jeanne Ellen Budds, 57, of Pana, died Monday, January 18, 2010 in her home. She was born April 26, 1952 in Pana, and lived in Pana her entire life. She was the daughter of Leon and Helen Kramer Budds. Jeanne had the ability to light up the room, and was always smiling and happy. She loved to bowl and was on a bowling league for the handicapped in Pana & Taylorville. Jeanne enjoyed going to football games in St. Louis with her brother, which they did for many years. She made hook-latch rugs and wall hangings, which she gave as gifts to many people. Jeanne especially enjoyed her work at the Christian County Mental Health Workshops, where she had worked for over 36 years, and she considered them to be a part of her family. She was a loyal member of the First United Methodist Church, Pana, and loved her church. She missed very few Sundays, and took great joy in welcoming people to services as she handed out bulletins. Jeanne was also a good friend of the First Baptist Church, Pana.
She is survived by her brothers: David Budds, Pana, IL & Dr. Michael Budds, Colombia, MO; and good friend, Janet Hicks, Pana, IL. She was preceded in death by her father on January 3, 1969 and mother on February 2, 2002.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 21, 2010 in the First United Methodist Church, Pana at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Marilyn Rauch officiating. Burial will be in Rosemond Grove Cemetery, Rosamond. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home.
