Morris "Morrisey" Coleman

Morris “Morrisey” Coleman, 61, of Pana died Tuesday, July 6, 2010 in his home. He was born May 28, 1949 in Pana, the son of the late Morris J. and Wilma J. Overby Coleman. He graduated from Pana High School and went on to graduate from college. Morris was born in Pana, lived in Oregon & California, and returned back to Pana in 1980. He worked for Asplundth Tree Service in California, and upon returning to Pana he worked with his father in Coleman’s Tree Service and later became owner & operator. Morris enjoyed spending time and visiting his daughters and going to their sporting events. He also enjoyed writing, and had published a children’s book.
Morris is survived by his daughters: Abby Coleman, Pana & Eliza “Lizey” Coleman, Pana; sisters: Linda Paden & husband Carl, Toledo, IL and Debra Embry & husband Lamar, Toledo, IL; brother, Joe Coleman & wife Annette, Pana, IL.; several nieces & nephews; aunts: Irma Overby Schwab, Mt. Olive, IL; Elta Overby Dornfeld, Maryland Heights, MO; & Betty Jane Forbes, Pana, IL. He was preceded in death by his mother on November 12, 1982; father on July 20, 2004; & brother, William “Billy O” Coleman on December 8, 2009.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will be Friday, July 9, 2010 in McCracken-Dean Funeral home at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Allen Ebbler officiating. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery, Mulberry Grove, IL. Friends may call Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service in the funeral home.
